Article by Blue Cord Media / Daniel Sanchez Racing – Daniel Sanchez is fitting right in the Mid-West. Juggling school and racing, while difficult, has been paying off. This past weekend was no different for the 463 Team.
The Team towed out to Limaland Motorsports Park Friday night, excited about the momentum they have gained and hoping to get a chance to talk with racing legend Kenny Wallace, who would be running his Modified. Unfortunately, Track Officials were forced to cancel the night’s events due to the weather. The 463 was disappointed but preferred to focus on the positives, they got to pit next to Kenny Wallace!
Saturday night, Sanchez was itching to get back behind the wheel. The crew found themselves in the pits at the famed Eldora Speedway. This would be the 463’s 3rd trip to the track and Sanchez was looking to crack the top 10 after recording 11th and 17th place finishes.
Sanchez started on the pole for his heat race coming to the start/finish line 3rd when the checkers dropped. He would lead the Eldora Stock Cars to the green. The car was hooked up and Sanchez ran great finishing in 3rd.
“I learned a lot from Ed Hounshell and Jordan Conover this weekend. Eldora is really fast, it is the same size as Lebanon Valley but we run 4 seconds faster. Everybody races so clean and has a good time.” -Daniel Sanchez
Like always, Sanchez is thankful for his crew and his equipment saying, “The Silly’s Competition Engine was a rocket and the car handled great”
“Happy Fathers’ Day to my Dad and Grandfather!”
The 463 Team will be back at Limaland Motorsports Park Friday 6/30.
