4WIDE/ DEMETRIOS DRELLOS- Albany-Saratoga Speedway And Lebanon Valley Speedway regular Demetrios Drellos will be racing Saturday’s at the Track of Champions Fonda Speedway Saturday’s in ‘18 in the Nelson Racing Big Block Modified. Demetrios tells us how the deal came together.
ON HOW THE DEAL CAME TOGETHER:
“Well Erik and Bill Nelson advertised on Facebook they were looking for a driver to drive their Big Block Modified a couple months ago for the up coming season, and I knew after this season we were not competing weekly at Lebanon Valley Speedway because we needed a change. I contacted Bill Nelson when I saw the post and I talked with him for a few minutes. We went out to dinner and everything just seemed right.”
ON BIG BLOCK RACING:
“The ‘17 season was a good starting point for us in the big block, we are still trying to figure some stuff out and I’m trying to still learn as a driver with it. Seat time is key and the more racing we do the better off we will be. Having another night in a big block will help me master a track ( Fonda Speedway ) t like so many of the best driver in my opinion have.
ON ‘18 PLANS WITH THE 111 CAR :
“The plans for the 111 is pretty simple. We have our big block car and two small block cars. The big block is going to be used at Albany Saratoga most nights, but we will be running about 50% of the Super DIRTCAR Series , so when we don’t have the time to get the car ready for Friday we will run one of our small blocks on Friday night. We haven’t decided much else, but we will be fitting in a lot of small block racing this year as well.
